The story is set in Pandiapuram, a village in the Sivagangai district of Tamil Nadu. Veerapandi (Rajkiran) is a powerful and respected landlord who commands significant influence in the constituency, controlling around half the votes. He is married to Thangam (Urvashi) and has two children — Selvam (Dhanush) and Selvi (Srithika). Rajalingam (Prakash Raj) is the corrupt local MLA who was elected with Veerapandi’s backing.
